SUMMER OF DISCONTENT

A month left for my departure from dhaka , and still feel totally unsatisfied with the holiday so far. I can't seem to get no satisfaction. Didnt do any shopping, been wearing 2 pairs of jeans for the last whole year, and my T shirts are giving up their colour.

The weather in dhaka is killing me. my throat is still a little jammed up with tosilitus but feeling a lot better. Had a runny nose all week. Its hot , humid and sticky. Perfect weather for germs but guess what it's been raining and the puddles are perfect habitats for mosquitoes to breed. Even though, thanks for my mom's excellent sense and practices , our flat is a lot more mosquitoe free than most other homes, there's still a few mosquitoes which venture into our world. The reason i am mentioning mosquitoes of all things , is that there's been a recent outbreak of dengue fever , caused by adis mosquitoes. Got to be vigilante.

Dhaka is a beautiful city, all u need is a car to enjoy it to the fullest and unfortunately i dont have one. So i've been seeing the semi beautiful side. Jumping on to "VEBCO" buses and standing all the way, packed like standing sardines. Anyone who travels by bus in dhaka will know what i am talking about.

Bought one of my all time favourite books, "going solo" by roald dahl. I love this book, even though it's just a childrens book.

The world cup is now just 2 games away from the end. The 3rd place playoff and the final. Millions of Bangladeshi hearts were broken when Argentina were knocked out in the knockout phase. Bangladeshi football fans are not just emotional and passionate, they are also pretty stupid. Crying and commiting suicide and not eating supper , just because some south american country's football team didnt make it. If it was Bangladeshi losing , then even i'd join in the crying and not eating supper. But why in the world would i cry for Argentina.

Favorite song this week : tero nadi saat somudur - James
msn person of the week - Afrin Choudury ( canberra )
Person of the week - non ( didnt go out much this week ...was ill)

Dude, why you sounding so discontent, I'll bet you're having a load of fun down there, can't believe you been there for 3 months, and I didn't even know that you been there. So how come Murad didn't go along, don't tell me he's having that much fun in London.
So have you met up with any ppl form the 'old world' during your stay in Dhaka, I heard that Batul's in town, you should get all the ppl from Saudi together sometime and just hang out or something.
Glad to see that BD is wrapped in football mania (don't ask me why), what was with Zidane head butting that dude anyways, weird, I bet Naseem has a bunch of theories.
Anyways, you should enjoy mummy's cooking as long as you can, as for myself, i'm sick of eating indian take-out, don't get all excited, its not like the stuff we get in Saudi, but its ok, atleast its edible.
